I started this blog yonks ago as a way to cheer up the other Navy wives on my (then) fiances ship. It’s kind of taken off since then really! Its a space for me to talk about real life stuff that happens when you are a Royal Navy Wife.
Its other aim is to bring some reassurance to other military wives that they are not completely loopy, or it might just serve as concrete evidence that I am the one round the bend, and every other military wife is a pillar of strength and sanity. So it could go either way.
Use the *NEW* search bar, click on the menus or the tags to see a range of blogs posts Ive written over the last however many years.
Nowadays me and Popeye are (still) married, living in Southampton with two mad toddlers “Sweet Pea” and “Sproglet”, and our Westie. And we have chickens.
I write exclusive articles for the Naval Families Federation magazine “Homeport” in addition to the stuff I put on here. Check them out at https://nff.org.uk/
Real life wise- My background is in Applied Behaviour Analysis. Which sounds scary but is mostly making people with learning disabilities happy, trying not to get hit, and using long words in reports.
